WT OFFICE FEATURE

A WORLD CLASS TEAM OF COMMERCIAL AND HOSPITALITY CONSTRUCTION COST EXPERTS IN THE HEART OF ABU DHABI.

Abu Dhabi, UAE — The Middle East’s hospitality sector is expected to grow in 2023 as key markets like Dubai report growth in holiday home and hotel occupancy and construction plans progress for luxury hospitality developments across the region. With a rapidly growing presence in the Middle East, WT’s team of hospitality development experts are positioned to be a preferred vendor and long-time partner in the region.

WT’s clients have benefited from the firm’s legacy of exposure to hospitality and leisure development. From historically significant palatial resorts to cutting edge boutique hospitality projects, WT’s Abu Dhabi based team has seamlessly moved from project to project, providing construction cost management and project delivery services, while garnering lessons learned along the way and building efficiencies, together.

“WT provides integrated project services through the property and asset lifecycle from inception to disposal,” remarked WT Middle East Director, Nick Hayman. “Across the globe we’ve worked in some capacity for most of the name brand and major players in the industry.”

ALL THE AMENITIES: A DIVERSE AND DEMANDING PORTFOLIO

With a portfolio of projects that includes experience covering world-class luxury resorts, hospitality properties, casinos and a wide array of entertainment venues across the globe, WT Middle East sees itself as a one-stop-shop for accurate, timely advocacy when it comes to cost consulting in the Middle East.

Recent work in the region features the 5-star luxury hotel, the Emirates Palace Hotel, operated by and refurbished to the standards of the Mandarin Oriental Group, whose design showcases a mix of Islamic architectural elements such as balance, geometry, proportion, rhythm and hierarchical emphasis alongside modern methods of design and construction. The central dome features elaborate geometrical patterns and 114 smaller domes that are spread over the building. The color of the building was inspired by different shades of sand found in the Arabian Desert.

Other work in the region includes stylistically contrasting properties to the Emirates Palace Hotel, like a new luxury hotel resort and villa complex at Sindalah in the NEOM development of KSA.

“The diversity and varied complexity of our portfolio highlights our team’s wide-ranging knowledge and flexibility when it comes to facility and structure type, and how to provide precise pricing information,” noted Hayman.

FIVE STARS: A GROWING ROSTER OF COST ESTIMATING EXPERTS

With a growing team in the Abu Dhabi office, the sky is the limit according to WT Director, Nick Hayman.

“We see limitless opportunity for the growth of our business and across a number of market sectors. There’s a real need for our services and our team’s commitment to service delivery in the Middle East is unwavering.”

SIGNS OF RECOVERY

Business and tourist travel seems to have returned to pre-pandemic rates in many places across the globe. This is no different for countries like UAE in the Middle East. With more visitors, an increased demand for more rooms and properties to host and entertain travelers has WT’s Nick Hayman forecasting a rosy outlook on the future of the sector.

“We are certainly seeing the market recover in this post pandemic phase, with the number of projects to market expecting to increase in the back half of 2023 and into 2024,” says WT’s Hayman.
