Lend Lease Building

The Courts Precinct Urban Renewal (the Project) was released under an Expression of Interest in September 2013 by the Government of South Australia.

The State’s intent was that capacity, efficiency and adaptability of justice facilities within the central business district be addressed through development of new facilities financed, designed and constructed on the site of the current Supreme Court on the corner of King William Street and Gouger Street (Courts Precinct).

The Project was being procured in a two stage process including an RFP phase, followed by an early developer involvement (EDI) process.

The proposed accommodation was to include:

Building 1 – Higher Courts and Courts Administration Authority (CAA) inc: 31,030 m2 (Net Lettable Area) A-Grade with 85 secure car parking spaces

Building 2 – Attorney General’s Department office accommodation & other courts including 25,800 m2 (Net Lettable Area) A-Grade with 91 secure car parking spaces

WTP was appointed by the Activate408 consortium to provide a broad range of bid phase project advisory services including lenders’ technical advisor, capital cost estimating, commercial support and facilities management. Following submission of the consortia bids to Government the Active8 consortia was nominated as the preferred proponent, however the project was cancelled prior to execution of contracts.
